About The Position

Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Healthcare Architect/Project Manager to their Boston team! This role involves collaborating with Principals, managing projects from conception to completion, and ensuring client satisfaction within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of healthcare-specific design considerations, and the ability to lead teams and client discussions effectively.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field
8+ years of project management experience honed on increasingly more complex projects
Demonstrated skill in working on multiple smaller-sized to mid-sized, challenging projects simultaneously
Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients and lead discussions on project budgets and management of project delivery
Proficient with industry accepted software and Microsoft Office products
Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Licensed professional preferred
Experience with Project Management software (Vision, Microsoft Project) preferred

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Principal to evaluate project requirements and help negotiate acceptable owner-architect agreement (including fee/time schedule)
Complete projects on schedule and within budget
Exceed client expectations
Use healthcare terminology to maximize performance when designing healthcare projects
Understand/manage design with regards to infection control maintenance, building systems, security, technology and medical equipment specific to a healthcare setting
Monitor quality of construction documents
Develop discipline cost and work-hour budgets
Monitor project costs and completion status against budget schedules/timelines
Coordinate review/evaluation of contractor bids
Provide daily leadership in absence or as delegated by the Principal
Assist with marketing (developing proposals/client interviews)
