The Project Architect - Healthcare role involves understanding all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team. This includes adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, project management, execution, and living design. The role requires understanding and responding to technical implications, design decisions, and project financial goals. Key responsibilities include coordinating project documentation, managing the production of deliverable drawings and specifications, and reviewing deliverables for conformance with firm standards, contractual obligations, and project design intent, with a focus on quality, accuracy, legibility, completeness, and constructability. The Project Architect is responsible for addressing Quality Control review comments and managing project Quality Assurance in adherence with Perkins&Will standards. This role also leads project coordination efforts among internal disciplines and external consultants, communicates with clients on technical matters, and administers project regulatory reviews. Construction contract administration responsibilities include submittal review and response, RFI review and response, field observation and reporting, and project closeout. The role requires maintaining awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems, contributing to marketing pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews, and participating in design reviews. Demonstrating strong communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills that inspire high team performance, and mentoring staff are also critical aspects of this position.
