About The Position

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Project Analyst to support project tracking, deliverable coordination, documentation management, hours reporting, and project financial tracking. The Project Analyst will work closely with project managers, technical teams, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure project activities are organized, documented, tracked, and completed on time. This is a fully onsite position in Arlington, VA. The role is a strong fit for a recent college graduate or early-career professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and interested in project management, operations, finance, or government contracting. Training will be provided, but the successful candidate must be dependable, responsive, and comfortable following up with others to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of open items, communicates clearly, keeps accurate records, and follows through until tasks, documents, deliverables, and project updates are complete.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in project coordination, project analysis, business operations, finance support, administrative project support, or a related role.
  • Must be able to work fully onsite in Arlington, VA.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and open action items.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and follow up persistently, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to maintain spreadsheets, trackers, reports, project documentation, and financial records.
  • Ability to identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate information.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, ask questions when needed, and keep tasks moving.
  • Dependable, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced onsite office environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, academic, or professional experience related to project management, business operations, finance, government contracting, administration, or data tracking.
  • Experience supporting project managers, finance teams, operations teams, or contract management teams.
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar systems.
  • Experience tracking project hours, labor categories, budgets, invoices, expenses, or other financial items.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, filters, formatting, data validation, and pivot tables.
  • Experience preparing status reports, dashboards, meeting notes, summaries, or briefing materials.
  • Familiarity with contract deliverables, project controls, compliance documentation, or reporting requirements.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and reporting requirements quickly.
  • Strong sense of ownership and willingness to follow up until tasks are complete.

Responsibilities

  • Track project deliverables, milestones, action items, deadlines, dependencies, and outstanding items across assigned projects.
  • Maintain project trackers, task lists, status logs, deliverable schedules, follow-up reports, and other project control documents.
  • Coordinate with project managers, team leads, technical staff, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to collect updates and confirm task completion.
  • Follow up regularly and professionally with internal stakeholders to ensure assigned actions, documents, approvals, and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Track the status of project documents, reports, meeting materials, submission packages, approvals, and other required deliverables.
  • Assist with organizing, formatting, reviewing, routing, and tracking project documents and deliverable submissions.
  • Maintain organized project folders, records, spreadsheets, and documentation repositories.
  • Support document version control, naming conventions, file organization, and document status tracking.
  • Assist with preparing project status reports, dashboards, briefing materials, meeting notes, action item logs, and management updates.
  • Attend project meetings, capture notes, document decisions, track action items, and distribute follow-up summaries.
  • Monitor upcoming deadlines and proactively flag missing information, incomplete documents, overdue items, project risks, or blockers.
  • Track project hours, labor reporting, timesheet-related items, staff assignments, and labor category information as needed.
  • Support tracking of project financial items, including budgets, burn rates, expenses, invoices, purchase requests, funding information, and other project finance data.
  • Coordinate with finance and project management staff to identify discrepancies in hours, costs, billing, or project financial records.
  • Assist with reconciling project tracking information across spreadsheets, reports, project management tools, and financial records.
  • Support internal project controls, reporting processes, compliance tracking, administrative project activities, and process improvements.
  • Help ensure project information is accurate, current, complete, and available to project leadership when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
