About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, creative, and team-oriented individual to join our world-class Property team. As a Project Administrator – Construction Management, you will play a key role on a construction and property management team while supporting internal and external stakeholders with various tasks on large scale projects. If you love working with cross-functional teams and applying your knowledge of project management in new and innovative ways, then this position may be for you!

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or related experience
  • Strong coordination, organization, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong computer, telephone, proofreading, and filing skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

  • Project management experience; has experience working in a professional setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to project stakeholders and managers as assigned.
  • Assist in maintaining project files and project tracking records such as Request for Information (RFI), construction job logs, submittals, contractor quotes, schedules, budgets, and summary spreadsheets.
  • Track and report construction project measures such as project expenditures vs. budget, progress vs. schedule, and quality related measures.
  • Provide information and input to project stakeholders and team members in their decision-making process.
  • Assist with creating supporting presentations on project status to management.
  • Follow applicable processes and identify and report potential project problems as soon as they are identified.
  • Follow SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.
