About The Position

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions. Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Accountant! We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Prior experience with an Architecture or Engineering firm is preferred. Construction industry candidates will also be considered.

Requirements

• 3+ years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
• Detail-oriented problem solver.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintenance of contract information, which includes, but is not limited to maintaining accurate files of client and subcontractors agreements. Will work closely with Project Managers & Principals in preparation of project budgets and other pertinent contract information.
• Responsible for setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vantagepoint accounting software.
• Works closely with the Project Managers tracking monthly invoices, additional service requests and change orders. This may require visiting other offices on occasion.
• Provides assistance to Project Managers and Corporate Leadership in account collections, receivables and payables.
• Works closely with clients and subcontractor’s accounting departments.
• Other accounting responsibilities may include accounts payable & unit entry.
