About The Position

Global Prairie is seeking a versatile and organized team player with strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment to join our Accounting and Finance team as a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant has high visibility to company leadership and is primarily responsible for functioning as a finance partner to client-facing account teams for a portfolio of clients. This individual may also have general ledger responsibilities, including reporting and analysis. Global Prairie was built on purpose to help organizations deliver on theirs. Requirements

  • Progressive experience in prior accounting and/or finance roles
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in agency or other type of professional services firm is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Financial management for a portfolio of clients, including: Leading the billing process and monitoring AR to ensure timely collection, Monitoring overall project budget health, Revenue recognition, Ad hoc project reporting and analysis
  • Assisting with media buy management, including media billing and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc general ledger responsibilities, including reporting and analysis
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Serving as backup for other team members, as necessary
