About The Position

IB Abel is seeking a Project Accountant responsible for all accounting and administrative duties related to assigned projects. This role requires a complete understanding of costs charged to projects, the ability to analyze job financial performance, and to assist project managers and other project accountants with job budgets and projections. Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a project accountant type role or similar position.
  • Office experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with job budgeting and analysis.
  • Experience with high volume payroll and/or invoicing.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, accounting software and databases (Vista Viewpoint desirable).
  • A “can-do” attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry.
  • Local to York, Pennsylvania with occasional travel to other offices or offsite meetings (flexibility to work from home when appropriate).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the construction field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Accountants and Project Managers with job cost analysis and projections.
  • Set up jobs within Vista Viewpoint.
  • Entering job estimates into Vista.
  • Job Cost Analysis.
  • Update backlog projections in Vista based on feedback from Project Manager.
  • Enter owner change orders.
  • Preparation of billings.
  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers and Principals in Charge, regarding contract documents and change orders related to billing.
  • Payroll Entry/Verification if applicable.
  • Purchase order closings.
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned by Project Accounting Manager and Job Cost Manager.
  • Work with Project Managers to keep accounts receivables current on projects.
  • Provide training to Associate Project Accountants as needed.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
