About The Position

Samet Corporation provides professional construction and management services for projects in the Commercial/Industrial, Housing (multi-family), Educational/Institutional, and Healthcare market sectors. Samet is actively searching for a Project Accountant to support and serve our corporate and field operations. This role requires a team player with a customer-service approach to co-workers and subcontractors, and a passion for collaborative improvement and implementation of effective work processes, procedures and standards in a team environment.

Requirements

Two years of Construction related experience in Accounting preferred. General contractor is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in A/P
Data Entry Skills
Excellent computer & software skills, with the ability to learn, adapt to and implement new systems. Proficiency in Excel a must.
Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Timberline (Sage 300) software a plus.

Responsibilities

Preparation of Owner invoices for construction projects, including coordination with Project Managers and Group Managers for review of all draft invoices and documentation.
Processing construction project-related subcontractor pay applications and other vendor invoices, including verification, coding and routing to approver(s) and preparing AP payments. Includes verification of proper risk management procedures including lien waivers and certificates of insurance.
Obtain project close-out documentation.
Retainage release after proper documentation is obtained.
Cross training responsibilities may include certificate of insurance, document imaging and expense reports, reconciling and entering credit card payments.
Assisting with special projects.
