The Project Accountant position is responsible for assisting Project Accountants and Project Accounting Management to ensure invoicing on each project is handled in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner. This is a non-exempt role that takes daily direction from a Project Accounting Team Lead, with assigned duties according to specific procedures and frequent work checks.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Accountants in preparing and submitting detailed and accurate invoices of reimbursable costs associated with maintenance and construction projects to clients.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments, field personnel, and client representatives to compile invoicing information and resolve issues.
Assist other Project Accountants when their workload necessitates.
Undertake special projects such as client audits and system conversions as directed by Project Accountants and Project Accounting Management.
Assist Project Accountants in preparing detailed and accurate month-end accruals.
Research, report, and explain billing transactions to Accounting Management.
