About The Position

Hatch is seeking a Project Accountant to work in our Ambler, PA (suburban Philadelphia) office. The Project Accountant will coordinate with Project Managers, Clients, Employees and team members to set-up projects, review and monitor costs and process billing in accordance with client requirements, within the currently established procedures, and the timeliness established in our contract agreements. As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 1-3 years of project accounting (contracts administration/billing) experience
  • Experience in administration/billing of professional services contracts and/or government focused firm a plus
  • Excellent communication and language skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and work cohesively with team members
  • A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to process information quickly
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Previous SAP experience considered a plus
  • Advanced skills in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Be self-motivated and confident to take initiative and work with minimum supervision, while still working effectively as a member of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in administration/billing of professional services contracts and/or government focused firm a plus
  • Previous SAP experience considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and maintenance of projects in SAP software.
  • Pro-active assistance in project billing rate set-ups.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices.
  • Process monthly client invoices.
  • Prepare supporting invoice packages utilizing client specific formats (Excel).
  • Accounts receivable monitoring and follow-up.
  • Maintain project information, rates, and forecasts in project management system
  • Preparation of project-related documents including budgets, rate approval requests, subcontract agreements, change orders, contract amendments, etc.
  • Supporting project manager information and analysis requests.
  • Coordination with employees, project managers, internal departments, subcontractors, prime contracts, and clients to assure the effective and compliant administration of the contract.
