Progressive Care Unit Nurse Part Time Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse for a part-time (24 hours weekly) night shift (7pm-7am) position. This role is benefit-eligible. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge. The RN will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Progressive Care Unit is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between inpatient units and critical care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care, nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. Nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population while working closely with an interdisciplinary team. The PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.
