Programs Operations Lead, Growth Levers

About The Position

The Programs Operations Lead for Growth Levers owns the operating system that coordinates Airbnb’s growing portfolio of local growth levers, including incentives, host-funded promotions, engagement and CRM, partnerships, and promotional merchandising. The role brings these activities onto a shared roadmap, source of truth, and operating rhythm so product, growth marketing, merchandising, finance, and regional and country operations can see what is shipping, who owns it, when it will launch, and what it costs. This is an execution and coordination role, distinct from business strategy and lever ownership. The role connects regional business owners, lever owners, the growth-levers playbook and country-planning lead, and central growth marketing, product, and merchandising teams. It establishes intake, sequencing, operating cadence, budget-to-roadmap translation, launch governance, and institutional knowledge to make the portfolio executable at scale and resilient when individual owners are unavailable. The position is US remote eligible, subject to living in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. It requires occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsites, approximately 10% of the year (about six weeks annually); the posting also notes that the role is expected in office approximately three days per week. The role may be eligible for a bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. The stated base pay range is $156,000–$193,000 USD.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or marketing/GTM operations; ideally coordinating growth, marketing, or commercial programs across multiple markets in a marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer-technology environment.
  • Proven ability to establish a new operating system or central coordination capability from scratch, including intake, prioritization, RACI, cadence, and governance, and scale it across teams and geographies.
  • Exceptional cross-functional orchestration in a heavily matrixed organization spanning product, growth marketing, merchandising, finance, and regional and country operations; ability to partner with senior leaders through executive level.
  • Strong operating discipline across cross-workstream roadmaps, change intake and sequencing, conflict resolution, launch management, business reviews, executive reporting, and clear written communication.
  • Ability to translate multi-million-dollar budget decisions into roadmap and resourcing changes and report spend and return to leadership.
  • Analytical fluency and ability to partner with analytics and finance on performance, efficiency, incrementality, and consistent measurement standards; comfort working with numbers.
  • Ability to thrive amid ambiguity and organizational transition, with a bias to action, ownership, and prioritization.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with one or more growth levers, such as incentives, promotions and coupons, host-funded offers, lifecycle/CRM, merchandising, or partnerships.
  • Experience working across international markets and time zones.
  • SQL familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Own a unified cross-lever roadmap and source of truth consolidating campaigns across regions.
  • Build and operate the cross-functional cadence, launch-readiness process, and clear RACI across Global Markets, central growth marketing, product, and finance; surface resourcing gaps early.
  • Establish consolidated change intake and sequencing for campaigns and lever requests, including prioritization, approval, and conflict-resolution rules.
  • Translate funding decisions into executable roadmap and resourcing changes; track committed and available spend across levers and markets and report spend and returns to leadership.
  • Coordinate regional business operations, growth marketing, partnerships, product, and merchandising teams to drive alignment, unblock decisions, and maintain a unified operating process.
  • Partner with playbook and country-planning owners to convert strategy into standardized templates, coupon and efficiency-reference (ERF) libraries, launch checklists, and repeatable campaign operations.
  • Partner with Advanced Analytics and FP&A on consistent performance tracking, post-mortems, and readouts; support learning on efficiency, incrementality, seasonality, auto-apply, and spotlights and standardize performance expectations across regions.
  • Own Global Markets reporting cadence, including the Weekly Business Review with RDs, weekly leadership reporting, monthly country-performance newsletter, team staff meetings, and executive and country-deep-dive reviews.
  • Run recurring cross-functional roadmap syncs with payments, advanced analytics, growth marketing, merchandising, and international product, turning roadmap changes, guardrails, and escalations into decisions and next steps.
  • Maintain the levers operating system and reporting cadence during peak seasons and leadership absences.

Benefits
