About The Position

The Programs and Community Impact Manager is the project manager for the Bunnelle Foundation’s Education to Career strategic initiative, including Pathways to Possibilities SC and the Bunnelle Youth Board. For new projects or initiatives, this role designs, evaluates, and implements programs and services in collaboration with the Executive Director. The Manager also oversees all logistics for Bunnelle Foundation events. This position advances the growth, development, and reputation of the Foundation by working across programs, community engagement, and grantmaking. This role requires a high level of organization, strong project management, and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Georgetown County and its communities, gained through personal or professional experience, is required.
  • 5-7 years of work experience needed.
  • Excellent skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced professional environment with proven success handling overlapping deadlines with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills, including efficiency, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Able to work as a part of a team and independently.
  • Able to work with diverse communities across racial, socio-economic, ethnic, political and geographic boundaries.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Foundation initiatives including, but not limited to, Palmetto Giving Day, Pathways to Possibilities Career Expo, and Youth Board.
  • Serve as project manager on all Foundation events, working with team members and external vendors to prepare for events and assign tasks for pre/day-of/post-event needs.
  • Work with the Executive Director to prepare for Foundation meetings and presentations.
  • Communicate with Board members, grantees, consultants, and the general public in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for new programs and approaches that will maximize the Foundation’s resources and fulfill the goals of the strategic plan.
  • Take on other roles and special projects as needed to support and enhance the work of the Foundation.
  • Support the Bunnelle Foundation’s practice of encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage student engagement by providing leadership and mentorship to Youth Board members.
  • Provide consistent communication, connections to other leadership opportunities, professional development and guidance through Youth Board grantmaking.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with education partners to identify strategic needs and resources, and to share relevant updates with Foundation staff and the Board.
  • Develop, monitor and track initiatives, including evaluating and reporting to staff, Board and external partners.
  • Develop recommendations for Program and Grantmaking strategies and work with Grants and Data Manager to evaluate and report.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the future of Georgetown County including current and evolving issues.
  • Build key relationships with stakeholders and organizations to develop a clear understanding of how they fit into the Foundation’s interests and have a role in the County’s future.
  • Actively network, listen and link Georgetown County needs to grantmaking opportunities by attending and/or facilitating collaborative discussions between individuals and groups who can bring change.
  • Assess and cultivate relationships with all organizations receiving funding from the Foundation.
  • Identify capacity building opportunities for grantees, potential grantees, staff and Board.
  • Attend site visits to gather information that will strengthen our message and work in the community.
  • Participate in community meetings, Grantmaker forums, workshops and other events to expand relationships and enhance organizational visibility.
  • Manage and maintain the Bunnelle Center building, supplies and maintenance.
  • With the Bunnelle Technology and Accounting Manager, co-manage the logistics of meetings of the Board and other Foundation Committees including confirming attendance, coordinating meeting logistics, working with vendors, taking minutes and any other administrative details required for a successful meeting.
  • Organize staff and Bunnelle Center activities to ensure operations reflect the Foundation’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Travel to events and capacity building workshops as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
