About The Position
As a Programmer at McWane Ductile New Jersey, you will design, implement, and maintain software solutions that optimize foundry operations. This onsite role at the company’s Phillipsburg, New Jersey facility works with cross-functional teams to improve technology solutions, support operational excellence, and continuously improve manufacturing processes. The stated pay rate is $75,000 to $80,000. The work environment may occasionally involve moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, wet or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical-shock risk, and vibration. Noise is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in programming or a related field.
- Proven experience with Power BI/Power Platform, Delphi, SQL, and Git.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement user-friendly Power BI reports for senior management.
- Write efficient, maintainable, well-documented code that follows established standards and guidelines.
- Identify and promptly resolve software defects, bugs, and performance issues.
- Develop robust and scalable software applications tailored to foundry operations.
- Manage and optimize SQL databases to support data integrity, reliability, and efficient retrieval.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Implement and maintain Git version control to support team collaboration and codebase integrity.
- Work with engineering, operations, and IT teams to understand requirements and develop solutions.
