About The Position
This role involves full stack system development in a complex and mission-critical three-tier system development environment. The programmer will be responsible for DevSecOps, release management, comprehensive testing, and collaboration. The position requires the use of specific development tools and environments, including COBOL with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL, Visual Studio, and RDBMS like Oracle and MS SQL Server. The selected contractor must provide their own equipment, but access to a virtual desktop will be provided.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline with eight years of experience, OR ten years of experience without a bachelor's degree.
- 8 to 10 years of full stack system development in a complex and mission-critical three-tier system development environment spanning COBOL, .NET, Web/Mobile, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
- Strong DevSecOps skills and familiarity.
- Familiarity with formal release management processes.
- Experience with comprehensive testing.
- Strong collaboration and coaching skills.
- COBOL development with MICROFOCUS Visual COBOL using Visual Studio 2019/2022 in Windows Server 2022 under IIS.
- Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server).
- Must have own equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.).
