About The Position

This role involves making programming decisions independently, implementing business projects with minimal supervision, and formulating plans for program development using structured analysis and design. The Programmer Analyst will also provide technical assistance to users, monitor program performance, and analyze/alter programs for efficiency and adaptation to new requirements. Additionally, this position involves providing analyst functions, guiding programmers, contributing to project development, and mentoring junior programmers. The role requires understanding specific business areas and their rules (e.g., MPCI, Crop Hail, Property Casualty) for application development, strong programming and debugging skills, and the ability to document programs for user comprehension.

Requirements

• Ability to understand specific business area and its rules (e.g., MPCI, Crop Hail, Property Casualty) for application development.
• Strong programming/debugging skills used primarily in business applications.
• Ability and desire to continue to learn business rules for applications development and expansion.
• Ability to write program documentation and descriptions for users to comprehend usage of applications.
• High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree from trade school or university in business or related programming studies preferred.

Responsibilities
