About The Position

Compass Health Center is a leading provider of crisis-level mental health services, offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. We aim to fill the gap between traditional outpatient care and inpatient hospitalization. Our innovative approach helps patients and their families overcome challenges such as depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, and chronic pain. As one of the fastest-growing behavioral health organizations in the country, we are expanding our services to Golden Valley, MN, in February 2026. We are seeking an experienced clinician to join our interdisciplinary team and help build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up. This role involves delivering evidence-based therapy, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Psychologist or Master’s level therapist (required)
  • Hold a master's level clinical license (required)
  • 1+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred)
  • Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies.
  • Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as well as other evidence-based therapies.
  • Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning.
  • Coordinate care with patients’ individual providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge.
  • Conducts assessments and consults with intake clinicians to aid in determining appropriateness of fit for patients.
  • Communicate with patients’ family members or support system when indicated.
  • Complete initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program as needed.
  • Chart in our electronic medical records system.
  • Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team.
  • Create and update treatment plans.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Lead group therapy sessions teaching DBT, CBT, and ACT skills.
  • Provide individual and milieu-based exposure therapy.
