About The Position

Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a full-time Therapist to provide trauma-informed clinical services to youth in our residential treatment program. This role supports youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, and complex trauma through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and multidisciplinary care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Kentucky (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or associate/intern status with supervision available)
  • Knowledge of trauma and its impact on development
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment models such as TF-CBT, DBT, or similar

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, or young adults preferred
  • Experience working in residential, foster care, or child welfare settings strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to youth in residential care
  • Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation that reflects clinical services and progress
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and ongoing care coordination
  • Support crisis intervention and collaborate with residential staff and leadership
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision
  • Complete required training, including trauma-informed care and mandated reporting
  • Contribute to program quality improvement and accreditation efforts
  • Provide consultation and support to residential staff on trauma-informed approaches
