About The Position

DVHA's Clinical Operations Unit (COU) is seeking an interim team member to support clerical and paraprofessional work. This role will help support the processing of medical and dental prior authorization requests into multiple systems to support a medical necessity determination by clinical staff. This process includes data entry and data abstraction. Other administrative tasks performed will be responding to faxes, emails, phone calls, form development, and capturing meeting minutes. Requirements

  • Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND two (2) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).
  • OR High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience at or above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program, or records management).
  • OR One (1) year or more of experience as a Program Technician I with the State of Vermont.
  • Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
  • Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR an associate's degree or higher AND two (2) years or more of experience of administrative work in an office setting, such as complex data entry and data retrieval from multiple systems, customer service, triaging phone calls, taking minutes, and scheduling meetings.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Microsoft knowledge.
