Requirements

  • Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience required.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Dependable and flexible, able to meet physical requirements such as lifting materials, consistently report to work prepared, and accommodate occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job related field and one year of directly related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with Program Coordinator and Department of Rehabilitation for ongoing training and supervision.
  • Assists Coordinator with planning WorkAbility Program meetings, workshops, and events, creating presentation templates, materials and resources as needed.
  • Collaborates with Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC) staff regularly regarding administrative paperwork and completion of supporting documentation ensuring timely reporting of program requirements.
  • Documents student contacts and outcomes in the program database including using established systems, procedures, and resources for simple analysis of program production and reporting.
  • Provide procedural training and reference materials to student assistants regarding documentation standards and contract compliance requirements
  • Replies to general program inquiries from students, community and campus.
  • Conduct WAIV Program outreach activities to promote awareness of program services and participation requirements.
