About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a Program Support Assistant Intern for its Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion/Compliance. This role offers hands-on experience in advancing initiatives that promote fairness, equity, and inclusive practices across the Authority. The intern will support programs engaging diverse communities, strengthening outreach, and ensuring equitable access to opportunities. Responsibilities include project coordination, research, and administrative support, with exposure to compliance processes, diversity recruitment strategies, and community engagement efforts. The intern will work with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university
  • Interest in workforce and business diversity and compliance initiatives and programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application
  • Ability to pass Massport’s pre-employment-controlled substance test and background checks

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to monitoring projects and program plans
  • Support the maintenance and updating of internal and external outreach lists
  • Conduct research to support diversity recruitment initiatives
  • Provide document management support, including data entry and basic data analysis, assistance with certification processes, and support for B2G uploads and application processing
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned
  • Provide front desk support, including answering phones and assisting visitors as needed
