As a Program Supplier Quality Engineer here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DOD Programs. This is an onsite role in Tucson, Arizona. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience with either ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
  • Experience conducting audits either internally or externally.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools
  • Experience applying industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
  • Experienced technical engineer who can apply communication skills and exhibits presence and influence and is a self-managed technical contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of work.
  • Interpret program requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including Root Cause Corrective Actions, improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
  • Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
  • Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
