About The Position

This full-time Program Supervisor position, located in Joliet, IL, offers $20.75 per hour. The role is crucial to a mission-driven organization dedicated to expanding access to services and developing effective support methods for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include facilitating Individual Service Plans (ISP), performing administrative duties such as staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight, and supervising a team of Caregivers. The supervisor will also provide direct support to individuals, assisting with daily activities like meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care. Duties are divided among direct support, professional/program activities, and supervision. Additionally, the role involves facilitating community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings or providing transportation. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain supervisory skills and experience while directly impacting the lives of the individuals served daily.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year related work experience
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Other licensure or certification where required by regulatory authority
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with team members and those we serve
  • Strong organizational abilities to ensure staffing and schedules are maintained

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP)
  • Participate in a range of administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight
  • Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals we serve in the program
  • Provide support to individuals receiving services including: assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities
