About The Position

The Program Supervisor, Residential provides supervisory oversight, leadership and support, always maintains a high level of professionalism and leads by example when interacting with individuals, families and direct care staff. Ensures direct care staff perform their duties in a manner that is caring and compassionate, as well as appropriate to the individual and/or setting. The Program Supervisor monitors the responsibilities and work performance of all subordinate staff and ensures the residential program complies with all licensing, regulatory and DDS requirements. He/she oversees task delegation to the Assistant Residential Supervisor and ensures medical compliance for all residents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, and 5 years’ experience with working with similar populations.
  • At least 2-years supervisory experience with intellectually disabled population in a residential setting.
  • DDS Medication Certified
  • PMT Certified, CPR and First Aid Certifications or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire and maintain all certifications
  • Valid CT Drivers license and proof of insurance meeting minimum state requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain authorization from leased vehicle company to drive handicapped van

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the overall operations of the CLA, CRS and IHS residential programs and all its components to ensure compliance with all program policies and regulations as required by DDS licensing standards and WHCH policies and procedures.
  • Oversees Assistant Residential supervisory staff to ensure that agency and program policy and procedures are followed.
  • Completes payroll edits, performance evaluations of staff, disciplinary actions such as employee counseling and written warnings.
  • Monitor/safeguards the resident finances, monitors spending of all resident funds, including systems of receipt tracking. Completes monthly ledgers, including submitting them for auditing. Distributes petty cash to Assistant Residential Supervisors.
  • Ensures adequate staff coverage and schedules are posted in all homes and participates in “on call” duties.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings and trainings.
