About The Position

Provide and oversee the delivery and implementation of behavioral health or recovery programs within a facility.

High School diploma or equivalent required
Two or more years' experience in behavioral health required
Licensed counselor/therapist as required by the state and for the area of clinical expertise
Valid driver's license if required by the facility
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
First aid may be required based on state or facility

Co-lead groups
Participate in curriculum development for the program
Collaborate with treatment team members to help the patients meet their treatment and care goals
Monitor patients to evaluate treatment progress
Intervene in crisis situations to assist patients
Modify treatment plans to accommodate patients' needs
Collaborate with other professionals to assess needs or plan treatments of patients
May counsel family members of patients
May assist patients by coordinating activities, providing companionship and assisting with basic daily needs (dressing, bathing, eating)
Assist in the oversight and maintenance of the program schedule
Coordinate the activities of other program staff and oversee the work of interns as applicable
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always
When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints
Recognize that patient safety is a top priority
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned
