Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience working in a long term care or hospital setting
  • Experience with pediatric population
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
  • Friendly and professional
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff in ensuring safety of ambulatory/mobile residents by offering activities
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to identify behavioral/health and safety concerns
  • Assist in developing Health and Safety/Behavior Support Plans
  • Responsible for compiling information for monthly and quarterly documentation
  • Learn the IHP/ISP Timeline over the course of 6 to 12 months
  • Develop and train staff on behavioral/health and safety plans
