Requirements
- Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience working in a long term care or hospital setting
- Experience with pediatric population
- Must be 21 years or older
- Excellent computer skills
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
- Friendly and professional
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Responsibilities
- Assist staff in ensuring safety of ambulatory/mobile residents by offering activities
- Work with interdisciplinary team to identify behavioral/health and safety concerns
- Assist in developing Health and Safety/Behavior Support Plans
- Responsible for compiling information for monthly and quarterly documentation
- Learn the IHP/ISP Timeline over the course of 6 to 12 months
- Develop and train staff on behavioral/health and safety plans
