About The Position

The Central Academic Recovery (CAR) team in OUSD's HS Linked Learning Office is seeking a highly motivated and organized History/Social Science TSA to support and grow our district-wide academic recovery efforts. CAR supports academic recovery efforts across OUSD's high schools during the school day, after school online & during the summer (Summer HAcK credit recovery for 9th & 10th graders).

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree
Must be eligible for employment in the US
Must pass a criminal background check
Candidates must possess a Preliminary or Clear California teaching credential authorizing instruction in core TK-12 curriculum
Completed online application

Two current professional references, including from a Supervisor

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a small team to design & implement holistic credit recovery programming
Plan & teach World History, US History, Government & Economics lessons across multiple high school sites
Provide case management for identified students
Conduct frequent family outreach & engagement
