This role involves receiving and processing customer drawings, specifications, and technical instructions. You will work with engineering, operations, and sales to develop solutions that fulfill customer requirements by supporting new part number setup. You will also assist with simple quotations where pricing has been established, use costing tools to create pricing that accurately reflects factory costs, and work with the Account Manager or Program Manager to provide a finished quotation. Ensuring all customer requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner is key. You will compile and lead weekly open order report calls with customers to review order status, monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed, and review and release new EDI or hardcopy PO orders daily. This role supports Account and Program Managers by reconciling product changes that affect cost or price, and tracks and reports on the status of all orders for assigned strategic accounts. You will join customer meetings or conference calls to provide customer service and technical guidance to ensure that finished quotes and orders accurately reflect customer specifications or needs. You will function as the primary customer interface for the account managers for specifically assigned customer accounts, communicate customer expectations to operations, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations by working closely with the Logistics team on preparing shipment documents as required.

Requirements

  • Ideally 3+ years of relatable experience supporting a manufacturing environment, coordinating projects/processes on the manufacturing floor.
  • Experience in cross-functional interface and coordination is strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of material flow, planning, scheduling, supply management/purchasing, inventory, costing, and shipping/receiving.
  • Validated skills in using business intelligence systems and organizational skills to handle accounts on a day-to-day basis.
  • Proven skills in identifying root causes of problems/issues by asking probing questions and the ability to develop recommendations for resolution.
  • Validated skills in running multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner.
  • Advanced-level Microsoft Excel experience.
