Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Working knowledge of word processing
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills
  • Aptitude for learning to operate electronic health records
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Proper phone etiquette
  • Works well with a team and individually

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors, determining their needs and taking appropriate action.
  • Answer telephone and take appropriate action.
  • Assist with scheduling of assessments, and at times produce schedules for the counseling staff.
  • Assist with the intake/admissions and discharge processes.
  • Prepares correspondence, memos, reports and other documents.
  • Responsible for OASAS online reporting.
  • Maintain a daily census database and generates a census and discharge report.
  • Gather statistical information and submit monthly report.
  • Process incoming mail & manage outgoing mail.
  • Manage petty cash accounts.
  • Gather financial information and forward to the Financial Case Manager.
  • Performs various money handling and account keeping responsibilities.
  • Sets up & break down client charts.
  • Maintains facility files and records.
  • Maintains inventory and requisitions.
