About The Position
The Program Quality Engineer (PQE) is responsible for supporting the seamless manufacturing and support of Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS) across our New Hampshire and Texas facilities. They will assure that our products and services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. This will include the entire program life cycle (Proposal, Design, Production, Services, and Sustainment). The PQE will utilize their expertise in Quality to ensure compliance, drive process improvements, lead root cause corrective actions and guide business decisions with data. As a part of an interdisciplinary program team, the Quality Engineer will be involved in (but not limited to) reviewing customer requirements, conducting Quality Management System audits, interacting with various departments, serving as the voice of the customer, data extraction/analysis, and root cause/corrective action analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 0-4+years of engineering experience or 6-8+ years of engineering experience
- Knowledge/demonstrated expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical process control (SPC)
- Knowledge-experience with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, FTA)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
- Perform and Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Secret Clearance or ability to attain
- Experience using Quality Databases
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree
- Experience with AS9100, PPV/AS9102 FAI, and AS9145/PPAP
- Green Belt/Black Belt Certified
- Experience with a Quality Improvement Program (Zero Defect, Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, etc..)
Responsibilities
- Reviewing Customer requirements to ensure proper flow down
- Quality Management System audits of manufacturing areas
- Interact with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Program Office and other Engineering disciplines as required
- Frequent interaction with the Customer thru Customer Source Inspection and preparation and presentation of Customer documentation
- Serving as the overall voice of the customer to ensure that all requirements are accurately satisfied
- Data Extraction /Analysis /Compilation
- Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
