About The Position

The University of North Texas System is seeking a Program Project Specialist to join the UNT-Institute for Applied Sciences within the College of Science. This role is part of an award-winning environmental education program that serves kindergarten through high school students in Dallas. The specialist will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and the EEI program/project coordinator in various aspects of the EEI project, including research plan governance, data collection, database maintenance, and analysis. Responsibilities also include scheduling presentations, overseeing the high school summer internship program, scheduling professional developments, and organizing community events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership for student employees and volunteers.
  • Experience in networking across departments and programs.
  • Ability to communicate and work with various populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
  • Teacher certification is required
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
