About The Position

The Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Program Project Specialist 2 within the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community. Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in Federal and State Statutes and agency policies and procedures relating to the care and treatment of persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge in Title XIX; Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS).
  • Knowledge in Qualified Vendor Application Process.
  • Knowledge in AHCCCS Contract and Acute Care Health Plans.
  • Knowledge in AHCCCS Policies and Procedures.
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to use computer systems at an intermediate or above level (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, and Power-point).
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis and create reports.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to complete extensive research.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report trends.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks.
  • Successfully pass background and reference check.
  • Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience dealing/working with Qualified Vendor Application Process, ALTCS, (OR) AHCCCS Contract and Acute Care Health Plans
  • THREE (3) years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desired
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, education, liberal arts, early childhood, business (OR) related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling orientation meetings with vendors interested in contracting with the Division or currently contracted vendors looking to expand their contract to include additional services.
  • Providing needed technical support to vendors to meet application/contractual requirements.
  • Developing recruitment plan that identifies recruitment development goals, associated recruitment strategies and evaluation/monitoring methods for review and approval by Network Manager and Network Administrator; Implementing recruitment plan upon approval.
  • Collaborating with Health Care Services, clinicians, and other Division Network entities to establish network development and recruitment goals.
  • Reviewing and analyzing various informational data to determine network sufficiency statewide related to the provision of professional services (nursing, therapies, home health, etc.); identifying geographical areas of the State requiring network development.
  • Conducts and leads special Network Projects; Provides high level technical assistance to Division and District personnel, in-network and out-of-network vendors and other entities.; Provides direct input in Division meetings and work groups.
  • Scheduling and facilitating Network and Divisional meetings, as assigned.
  • Completes weekly and monthly scorecard Metrics for the Network Area requirement; Creating, maintaining, and evaluating progress toward identified Network development and recruitment goals as well as Governor's Arizona Management System (AMS) initiatives such as huddles, project boards, etc.
