About The Position

This role serves as the Single Point of Contact for Engineering for Pilot Materials management. The position supports PG shipments of unreleased material to customer sites, ensuring all purchased parts have met release criteria before being shipped to external customers. The individual will participate in program CFT reviews to present status and mitigation for high-risk parts and gather information on upcoming design changes. This role also supports material availability for engineering changes and provides knowledge of potential for rework to Pilot MFG stakeholders. Key responsibilities include managing reservation demands in Engineering Stockroom locations, facilitating material transfers between Engineering Stockroom and Production Warehouse locations, creating/managing an Engineering Material dashboard structure and plan to identify, track and communicate value to DPG, creating and executing CIP plans as necessary to support organizational goals, and creating and maintaining product-group-specific materials management metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Read, compare and interpret Product BOMs.
  • Balance a strong emphasis on customer service and support while enforcing business process controls.
  • Strong communication skill set with the ability to concisely share verbal and written updates, tailored for a broad range of audiences from Manufacturing to Engineering Executive Management.
  • Demonstrate root-cause determination and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independently of day-to-day supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data with outstanding attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain, Planning, Operations or Manufacturing or relevant fields is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret and compare mechanical, electrical and assembly drawings is preferred.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Semiconductor industry and global supplier experience is a plus.
