About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager 2 to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems division. The position is located onsite in Roy, Utah. The program supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and related infrastructure. The manager oversees division-wide EVMS-compliant scheduling processes across Segment operations, including Microsoft Project Server and Oracle Primavera P6, and across program phases from early investment through sustainment and deactivation. The role leads analysts supporting digital transformation, tool optimization, training and development, proposal and strategy work, and program planning and scheduling deliverables. It also provides day-to-day support to an assigned segment, advises business managers on schedule and Earned Value Management integration, and supports reviews and audits. This is a full-time, onsite role with a standard 9/80 schedule and approximately 10% travel. Relocation assistance may be available. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance and to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field and 8 years of related experience; alternatively, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 12 years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent in lieu of a degree.
At least 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera P6.
Experience applying an Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
At least 6 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Experience in program management, execution, and closeout.
People leadership experience that includes performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, implement, and continuously improve division EVMS-compliant scheduling processes across Segment operations, including Microsoft Project Server and Oracle Primavera P6 environments and all program phases.
Lead analysts supporting digital transformation, tool optimization, training and development for program support personnel, proposal and strategy support, and program planning and scheduling activities for monthly IPMDAR generation.
Ensure scheduling implementation meets reporting requirements and analyze metrics to provide insight into process excellence and continual improvement.
Provide day-to-day support to the assigned segment team, including guidance, troubleshooting, and addressing programmatic requirements.
Manage multiple priorities and set expectations with the team.
Advise segment and program business managers on integrating project schedules with Earned Value Management.
Support internal and external reviews and audits.
