About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst at level 2 or 3 to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Roy, Utah. The division supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. The position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications. Domestic travel is approximately 10% of the time, and the standard work schedule is 9/80, allowing employees working nine-hour days Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Relocation assistance may be available. The analyst works with business management and project management staff to establish and maintain an integrated program measurement baseline for cost, schedule, and technical performance. The role analyzes schedule risks and project performance, supports earned value reporting, and incorporates contractual changes into control systems. Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

Level 2: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related professional experience, or a master’s degree and no years of related professional experience; alternatively, 4 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience, a master’s degree and 3 years, or a Ph.D. and 1 year; alternatively, 4 additional years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel Macro/VBA.
Aerospace or defense industry experience.
Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
Level 3: Experience with MS Project, P6 Primavera, Deltek Open Plan, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Deltek Acumen, or other Schedule Risk Assessment software tools.
Level 3: Experience working in a Microsoft Project Server environment.

Nice To Haves

Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with an investigation within the past 6 years.
Active SCI (SSBI) or DoD Top Secret clearance with a full investigation within the past 6 years.
Experience in accounting, finance, business administration, program cost analysis, or program scheduling.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with business management and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline for managing cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Perform schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve schedule risks, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.
Analyze projects through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to improve cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Use Gantt, PERT, and milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances requiring focus or intervention.
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems and track outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic cost and schedule baselines.
Participate in month-end Earned Value reporting close activities.
