About The Position

The Program Participant takes part in the Learning To Work Internship Program for Aspirations High School students. Participants are expected to attend their internship site and scheduled school classes, work toward internship learning goals with their LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor, take part in the LTW Seminar, and complete assigned work and evaluations. They must follow workplace rules and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the internship site on or before the scheduled start time and attend all scheduled classes at school.
• Contact the Workplace Mentor before the scheduled start time if absent.
• Demonstrate honesty, punctuality, a positive attitude, proper dress, and a willingness to learn.
• Work with the LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor to achieve internship learning goals.
• Participate in an LTW Seminar and complete all assignments.
• Ask the Worksite Mentor for clarification about assignments when needed.
• Discuss problems with the LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor.
• Follow workplace rules and regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• Complete an internship self-evaluation.
