About The Position

The Program Participant is an Aspirations High School student participating in the Learning To Work Internship Program. Participants attend scheduled classes and report to their internship site on time. They work with the LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor to meet internship learning goals, participate in an LTW Seminar, and complete assigned work and evaluations. Participants are expected to follow workplace rules and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at the internship site on or before the scheduled start time and attend all scheduled classes at school.
• Contact the Workplace Mentor before the scheduled start time if absent.
• Demonstrate honesty, punctuality, a positive attitude, proper dress, and a willingness to learn.
• Work with the LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor to achieve internship learning goals.
• Participate in an LTW Seminar and complete all assignments.
• Ask the Worksite Mentor for clarification when assignments are unclear.
• Discuss problems with the LTW Counselor and Worksite Mentor.
• Follow workplace rules and regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• Complete an internship self-evaluation.
