About The Position

This role is for a Program or Project Leader Engineer III. The position involves leading new equipment installations and project expansions within a manufacturing environment. The engineer will be responsible for managing projects, including milestone management and financial ownership, and will work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities. Travel to project locations in Newton, NC, and Hickory, NC, is required. Overtime is expected, and periodic off-hours coverage may be necessary.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in new equipment installations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with new equipment installations and project expansions.
  • Experience in a fast-paced changing environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.
  • Creative/innovative problem solving.
  • Strong technical fundamentals with mechanical engineering skills.
  • Proficient with CAD and Inventor/Solidworks.
  • Experience with equipment design.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced project install manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work and effectively collaborate within a team.
  • Able to shift tasks quickly.
  • Able to prioritize and multitask.
  • Communicate effectively both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous equipment install experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing industry (NOT lab environment).
  • Auto CAD Skill Sets.
  • Start-up experiences a plus.
  • Project leadership/management experience.
  • Experience in vendor/supplier management on-site/off-site.
  • Mechanical equipment and systems interactions.
  • Proficient with PC software including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail oriented.
