About The Position

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Project Leader Engineer III. This role supports high-impact manufacturing capacity expansion projects, including new equipment installation, commissioning, and production line readiness. The Project Leader Engineer III will drive mechanical execution, coordinate vendors, and ensure successful operational handoff of newly installed systems.

Requirements

  • Equipment installation experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Strong mechanical engineering and equipment design background
  • CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks)
  • Experience supporting plant expansions or production line start-ups
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment/process issues in real time
  • 3–5 years in manufacturing equipment installation or plant expansion projects
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments with shifting priorities
  • Hands-on experience with equipment start-ups and commissioning
  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Must be able to work on a W2 tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors)

Responsibilities

  • Lead/support manufacturing engineering projects focused on capacity expansion and equipment installations
  • Oversee installation, debugging, and commissioning of production equipment
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement mechanical/process solutions
  • Develop and execute project plans for multi-line equipment installations
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure scope, schedule, and cost alignment
  • Support process improvements and equipment optimization initiatives
  • Develop engineering documentation and support operations training
  • Identify spare parts requirements and support plant readiness activities
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance across all project activities
