The Program Manager is responsible for the supporting the oversight, development and implementation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives for oncology and ambulatory imaging services, to include policy and procedure development and compliance for related regulatory agencies including, but not limited to Commission on Cancer (CoC), Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), American College of Radiology (ACR) etc. The position is also responsible for the analysis of quality and performance improvement data through coordination of information including data collection, analysis and trending of required regulatory indicators, clinical quality and review activities, external agency review and other select clinical outcomes measurement. This position provides expertise in maintaining compliance with requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies specific to oncology. This position serves to educate all team members and physicians throughout the health system on regulatory/accrediting requirements to promote readiness and compliance. Education, Program Operations, & Support Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of regional oncology education programs across multiple clinical sites (Culpeper, Gainesville, Prince William and Haymarket). Develop and manage comprehensive educational content aligned with institutional regulatory standards (CoC, NAPBC, FACT). Conduct needs assessments and tailor programming to support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Assess educational needs to support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide resources for oncology staff to promote readiness and quality of care. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance patient safety and care delivery through education and awareness. Marketing & Promotion Partner with the oncology leadership team, ambulatory imaging team and UVA Health Marketing to develop and execute communication strategies for service line programs. Lead the creation and dissemination of promotional content to increase awareness of cancer center programs, including support groups, wellness webinars, navigation services, and survivorship care. Coordinate regular updates of marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, digital displays, social media content, and email newsletters tailored to patients, caregivers, and providers. Develop and maintain a promotional calendar for events, program launches, and health observances (e.g., Breast Cancer Awareness Month). Track engagement metrics and assess outreach effectiveness to optimize messaging and reach. Graphic Design & Content Development Design visually engaging materials using tools such as Canva, UVA Health brand site, or institutional templates. Develop branded content that aligns with institutional guidelines and resonates with diverse patient populations in our catchment area Support video and photo shoots highlighting patient stories, provider spotlights, or new services. Community Engagement Assist in planning and promoting educational events, and awareness campaigns. Develop internal toolkits or referral guides to increase clinical staff awareness of navigation and supportive care programs.
