About The Position

SEAKR Engineering is seeking a high-energy, early- to mid-career Program Manager to lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of advanced satellite electronics. The Program Manager is empowered and accountable for delivering products to customers on time, within budget, and to the required standards. The role coordinates and directs activities for a moderately complex program and works across customer, vendor, and internal teams.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
5–12 years of experience are desired.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to self-teach, ability to lead and adjudicate technical decision-making, and willingness to help at any level or function when challenges arise.
Prior experience leading teams on coordinated technical efforts.
U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree is desired.
Prior subcontract management experience is desired.

Responsibilities

Deliver programs to schedule, cost, quality, and performance parameters by coordinating and directing program activities.
Serve as the primary interface with customers, vendors, and internal personnel.
Motivate and provide leadership for the broader program team.
Manage interdepartmental requirements and resources across a matrixed engineering organization, including engineering, business development, contracts, and finance.
Create and maintain baseline schedules, change logs, scope, and costs, and monitor key program-health metrics.
Develop and implement a proactive risk-management process.
Lead cross-functional efforts for major program gate reviews.
Organize and manage the change-control process and support negotiations and change proposals.
Manage projects requiring Earned Value Management in Cost Plus and Firm Fixed environments.
