Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related field.
  • New product development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in program management and leadership role.
  • Familiarity with basic structured project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path).
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Possesses basic business financial knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings, set agenda, document minutes, and monitor/track key deliverables, attended by multiple stakeholders, and SMEs across multiple business units, product lines or business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project P&L and key drivers that affect overall program financial health ensuring projects meet established objectives (e.g. margins, costs, revenue).
  • Understand what program success is and drive path forward to achieve success in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Apply technical knowledge and understanding to day-to-day decision making.
  • Demonstrate high level of understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies used to produce a product.
  • Develop and maintain timing and action plan for projects of moderate scope with guidance from senior PMs.
  • Coordinate necessary data acquisition to provide strategic direction for solving problems.
  • Identify problems, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions using a systematic approach.
  • Partner with development and delivery organizations to participate in consensus on new product development (NPD), productivity and product maintenance.
  • Incorporate consumer and market insights as a driver of innovation and project execution.
  • Prepare project status and risks to manager with proper level of detail and recover plans.
  • Challenge and provide constructive mitigation strategies.
  • Support cadence and techniques to run efficient meetings.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of tools and techniques in the fields of program and project management. Adhere to new product development processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify project risks and recommend potential mitigation plans.
  • Under supervision, support or lead projects whose level of innovation and technology is existing or proven and contains higher risk, complexity and capital spend.
  • Build extensive cross-functional knowledge of business operations to effectively manage risks, coordinate project activities and make appropriate decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop timing and action plan for project. Coordinate with senior program managers to ensure dependencies and critical path are identified and communicated.
  • Supports projects relating to change initiatives impacting multiple businesses units, product lines, or business processes.
  • Provides advanced analytical support for change initiatives.
  • Capable of soliciting and accurately documenting process flows and business requirements.
  • Actively manage the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan.
  • Develop documentation; monitor and report project status; assess the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation.
  • Maintain reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units.
  • Responsible for significant contributions to the design, development and completion of project deliverables.
  • Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation.
