About The Position

Ultra Maritime is a pioneer in delivering multi-mission solutions that protect and empower naval forces worldwide, with innovations utilized on naval fleets across allied navies. The company develops advanced specialist systems for 'five-eyes' Defence customers, covering surface vessels, sub-surface operations, and unmanned platforms, with technologies including sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems. This role involves leading and managing human and economic resources for assigned businesses or locations to ensure programs are executed timely and within cost budgets. The Program Manager also provides recommendations for hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Ultra specializes in application-engineered bespoke solutions for mission-critical and intelligent systems in the defense, security, critical detection, and control markets, employing over 4,500 people globally.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.
  • Typically, a Master Degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience in program management or multiple functions working with program management.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages human and economic resources to ensure for assigned business, or location(s) to ensure that programs are executed timely and within cost budgets.
  • Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.
  • Drives actions to ensure the effectiveness of the Program Management teams to deliver to cost, schedule, and technical requirements for the assigned site, or assigned programs.
  • Supports program teams as mentor in support of achieving their respective responsibilities.
  • Liaisons with multiple functions within the site to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Escalates business execution issues to functional leadership for adjustments to human resources, processes, commodities and tools.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationship with Customers and Sponsors to ensure alignment and support.
