About The Position

The sky is no longer the limit as Nidec takes its technology off the ground and into the Aerospace market. As a Program Manager with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to help design electric propulsion systems for the battery-powered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B. Nidec is the world’s leading electric motor manufacturer and a true pioneer in electrification across a wide array of industries since its foundation in 1973, ranging from appliances, energy infrastructure, to ground transportation. Nidec Aerospace is a newly created Joint Venture between Nidec and Embraer, intending to lead the Electrification of aircrafts. We are well-positioned and excited to support the aerospace industry in its ambitious transition to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. From ideation to production, you will work with a diverse and experienced team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project and/or program management, managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate, influence, and guide teams toward shared goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior‑level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed project plans using project management tools and software.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PMI‑ACP, or similar certification is preferred and considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive program and project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and key milestones.
  • Provide strong leadership to cross‑functional project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Track project progress, proactively identifying challenges and implementing corrective actions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Communicate clear, concise, and accurate status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with internal teams across functions to ensure alignment and successful delivery of program objectives.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
