Under the supervision of the Education and Advocacy Director, the Program Manager for the TMHA Wellness Centers and Education Program is responsible for the management of all program elements, outreach and promotion of program activities, and collaboration and networking with TMHA programs and community partners at the mental health community wellness centers in San Luis Obispo County. The Program Manager hires, trains and supervises staff, and directs the coordination of volunteers, interns, and member leaders. The Wellness Centers are located in Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, and Arroyo Grande, providing person centered wellness and recovery support, education, advocacy services, volunteer opportunities, community collaborative services, social rehabilitation classes, groups and activities for adults who are engaged in mental health recovery. Education services include working with education staff to offer Mental Health First Aid, NAMI’s Peer to Peer, and WRAP to the community. The Program Manager oversees the Peer Advisory and Advocacy Team (PAAT) and will help coordinate PAAT needs, functions meetings and events. PAAT is a consumer advisory council of mental health stakeholders that supports an integrated system that reflects the principles of hope and choice, promotes a recovery environment, encourages education, honors each individual’s spiritual pathway, and embraces self-awareness and compassion for others.
