About The Position

LEEP is seeking a dynamic generalist to drive work on several of our paint programs across the globe, with a focus on French-speaking African countries. The Program Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of the steps of our paint programs, including: conducting paint studies to obtain country-specific data, supporting governments to implement lead paint regulations, and providing technical assistance to help paint manufacturers go lead-free. This role will require working on several different countries simultaneously. It requires someone who is adept at balancing breadth and depth; strong prioritisation and judgment are critical. The Program Manager will build relationships and maintain momentum with stakeholders in various contexts and drive key activities forward at a high level. They will deliver the core aspects of our model across these countries, while also supporting partners with planning and execution of key activities. We are looking for candidates who are high-agency, have strong interpersonal skills, and who share LEEP’s values. Requirements

Full professional proficiency in English and French

Responsibilities

Tracking key activities and milestones across portfolio of countries, identifying and escalating key risks and blockers, and ensuring plans stay on track
Troubleshooting any program blockers and identifying creative solutions
Sharing learnings with the LEEP team and constantly improving our programs
Engaging with policy-makers across multiple ministries and agencies, and staying in close communication
Preparing advocacy communications and educational resources
Participating in government meetings and presenting at stakeholder workshops
Project planning with government partners
Overseeing and managing grant agreements and activities
Engaging with manufacturers in focus countries, both large companies and small- and medium-sized enterprises
Presenting the case for lead paint phase-out and how LEEP can support
Working in collaboration with LEEP’s paint technologist to find solutions to manufacturers’ requirements
Finding suppliers of non-lead based raw materials
Conducting paint studies: finding and purchasing paints, preparing samples, and sending them to the lab, in collaboration with government partners
Preparing study reports and summarising existing literature
Recruiting local consultants and/or building partnerships with local organisations, and managing these relationships
Engage in weekly all-hands calls, program team meetings and 1-1s with your manager
