About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a remote Project Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for leading multiple, high-priority projects and programs that support business growth and innovation. The Project Manager will collaborate across departments to align project outcomes with strategic goals, build and manage detailed work plans, drive milestones, and deliver updates to key stakeholders. They will analyze options, manage risk and change, and help shape data-driven decisions that elevate performance. The role involves leading project management teams, determining and defining scope and objectives, breaking down complex projects, and planning, budgeting, and managing resources. Additionally, the Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and vendors, resolve conflicts, guide prioritization, mentor peers, and communicate project status through regular updates, documentation, presentations, and reports. They will also analyze workflows, performance metrics, and business needs to identify gaps, assess strategies, and continuously improve processes and decision-making. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
  • 1 or more years of project management experience
  • ASCP or AMT Certification

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of Blood Bank/Transfusion Services experience in an acute care hospital or health system laboratory strongly preferred, including experience with Blood Bank workflows, regulatory requirements, validations, testing, and LIS functionality.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in an acute care hospital or integrated health system laboratory environment preferred.
  • 1 or more years of experience with major hospital LIS platforms such as Epic Beaker, SoftLab/SoftBank, Cerner Millennium, or comparable systems.
  • 1 or more years participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and post-implementation system optimization.
  • 1 or more years of experience supporting Hospital Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementations, upgrades, workflow analysis, validations, testing activities, and go-live support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate laboratory data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with LIS, EHR, instrument, and middleware interfaces, including troubleshooting and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with the Visiun® analytics application and the use of laboratory performance metrics, dashboards, and benchmarking tools to support operational improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulatory and accreditation requirements and their impact on system design, testing, validation, and operational workflows.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with laboratory leadership, pathologists, clinicians, IT teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.

  • Communicate project status and progress through regular updates, documentation, presentations, and reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Analyze workflows, performance metrics, and business needs to identify gaps, assess strategies, and continuously improve processes and decision-making.
