The purpose of this role is to use best practices and technology within a community-based residential setting to support and rehabilitate youth (ages 11-15) with co-occurring diagnoses. This role involves planning and implementing the treatment team's interventions and staff schedules designed to assist youth build skills needed to move to a less restrictive level of care and live as independently as possible. The objectives of this position are to ensure that contract deliverables, utilization, and compliance of all program aspects meet regulatory agencies and Allies Policies and Procedures governing Children's Behavioral Health Services. It also aims to ensure that the customer is provided with the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychiatric rehabilitative, and social skills to progress toward a less intense support need (step down). Additionally, this role assists the quality assurance department in its ongoing mission of ensuring continuous training and quality assurance for all programs within the organization.

Requirements

Master's Degree and three-years' experience in the I/DD field, at least one year of which shall be in a supervisory capacity.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
Intermediate level of computer literacy.
The ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds.
The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and stand for several hours at a time.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally (in English), and non-verbally when necessary (specific to Youth communication abilities).
Basic knowledge of vehicle and home maintenance.
The ability to manage all aspects of home and vehicle life safety and maintenance
The ability to safely and effectively execute and supervise all Personal Control Techniques
The ability to exercise good judgment
The ability to remain calm in crisis situations
The ability to interact with a wide range of people with respect
The ability to approach daily work from a person-centered vantage point
The ability to effectively schedule and manage direct care staff to meet contract and youth needs

Responsibilities

Works a 40 hour per week salaried, unlimited schedule as directed.
Provides direct care services, medication monitoring, individual/group/family interventions, and assistance with daily living skills when directed and necessary with respect and dignity.
On call 24 hours a day in cooperation with other management staff.
Assures that all staff, meal, recreational and life safety drill schedules are timely, accurate and keep up to date at all times.
Monitors and insures accurate program and clinical documentation.
Reports, monitors and schedules house and vehicle maintenance.
Assists in maintaining and monitoring of individual finances, as needed.
Monitors and reports health and medical needs of individuals internally and externally, as appropriate.
Builds a support network between the youth, families, case management entities and community members.
Documents individual's progress in compliance with all governing rules and regulations as necessary.
Ensures consistent service delivery which connects treatment, social, educational, family involvement, and recreational needs.
Serves as an active member of each person's interdisciplinary team and participation in the Individual's Treatment Plan.
Works with each individual's treatment team and all other interested parties to build self-esteem and social capitol for each individual served.
Encourages and ensures that individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable therapeutic environment providing assistance as appropriate.
Objectively completes staff evaluations on time.
Monitors and maintains residential budget.
Monitors and schedules required staff training, as well as relevant seminars, conferences and additional training.
Submit monthly written reports covering operational status, as well as individual progress and concerns to supervisor.
Successfully completes required residential training, including but not limited to: New Hire Orientation; CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience and Services; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law); Stephen Komninos' Law; Crisis Management; Corporate Compliance; General Behavior; In-House Orientation; and other required trainings.
Completes annual training, including role specific trainings relative to Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Attends conferences, seminars, and other trainings relevant to the position.
Other duties as assigned.
