About The Position

Equinox is a non-profit human services organization in the Capital Region with over 40 years of experience providing innovative and effective programs that change lives. Our Adult Residential Programs serve adults with chemical dependency and/or mental illness across four locations in Albany County, aiming to help residents manage their diagnoses and build skills for successful community living. This specific Program Manager role will be within the Holt House Residence, which serves adults with both mental illness and developmental disabilities requiring 24/7 support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Five years’ experience in human services.
  • One-year supervisory experience in a similar program required.
  • Must have a clean, valid NYS Driver License.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Ability to drive a car or van safely, and transport clients as needed.

  • Bachelors Degree in human services related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day administration of the residential program assignment.
  • Selection, training, and supervision of staff.
  • Selection of residents.
  • Ensuring compliance with OMH certification requirements and Medicaid documentation requirements.
  • Financial oversight within the program.
  • Facilities oversight.
  • Establishing and maintaining community/provider relationships.
  • Participation in agency management and planning activities.
  • Carry out staffing function (selection, training, supervision and discipline).
  • Conduct quality assurance activities, including participation in compliance program.
  • Compile essential reports (including clinical, supervisory, fiscal, regulatory and evaluative).
  • Achieve units of service and revenue goals.
  • Manage budget, including participating in budget development.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained consistent with regulations (OMH, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Provide scheduled supervision to all Case Managers on a monthly basis; provide unscheduled supervision as needed.
  • Monitor bi-monthly medication verification inspections and weekly controlled substances verification.
  • Perform thorough room inspections minimally once per month.
  • Coordinate and ensure all admission/discharge procedures and that corresponding documentation is completed within specific time period.
  • Management of Program Petty Cash Funds.
  • Exercise good judgment.
  • Maintain professional boundaries.
