About The Position

The Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP) is a national Labor/Management organization that supports and promotes career ladder education for the healthcare workforce. H-CAP also staffs an affiliated 501 (c) (3) organization, the H-CAP Education Association (EA), focused on program and staff development of labor/management and union-based training partnerships in healthcare workforce development. H-CAP is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the implementation of a project to expand and support LMCC’s and to increase workforce capacity through training and career advancement opportunities. The Program Manager will work with the H-CAP team to ensure the organization is fulfilling all contract and grant requirements. The Program Manager will also work on projects to support H-CAP’s labor/management board and the H-CAP Education Association. Travel to program sites is required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience
  • Experience working in a union or labor/management environment
  • Experience with Salesforce and Excel
  • Experience managing federal grants and drafting grant reports
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and its workforce needs
  • Knowledge of labor management partnerships
  • Experience with workforce development and adult education programs
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of post-secondary education system
  • Ability to travel to various locations nationally, including New York City and State, California, Chicago, Massachusetts, Seattle, D.C., Baltimore, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and other locations
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to travel to program and meeting sites
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations for a state grant to ensure compliance with all grant deliverables and requirements are met
  • Convene stakeholders to provide support and technical assistance
  • Create RFP’s for grant funding and create rubrics to adequately evaluate grant submissions
  • Clearly communicate with grant applicants and grant recipients
  • Create an RFP for program evaluation
  • Work with program evaluator to ensure proper data collection and to define program benchmarks and measures of success
  • Create reports to funders, partners, and the H-CAP and H-CAP EA staff and Boards of Directors
  • Work with staff and contractors to ensure compliance with grant requirements
  • Monitor paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
